Hot 100 Chart Moves: Zedd & Selena Gomez Zoom In With 'I Want You to Know'

Selena Gomez and Zedd attend HBO's Official Golden Globe Awards After Party at The Beverly HILTON HOTEL on Jan. 11, 2015 in Beverly Hills, California.

The collab launches in the top 20. Plus, moves for Nick Jonas, the Empire Cast, Taylor Swift and Tori Kelly.

As previously reported, Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, leads the Billboard Hot 100 for a ninth week, while Pitbull and Ne-Yo enter the top 10 with "Time of Our Lives."

Who else enjoys notable moves up the Hot 100 this week?

Zedd, "I Want You to Know," featuring Selena Gomez
Marking his latest high-profile hit team-up, Zedd's "I Want You to Know," featuring his rumored girlfriend Gomez on vocals, soars onto the Hot 100 at No. 17. Following its first full week of availability, the dance/pop track, which Zedd co-wrote with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and Kevin Drew, launches with nearly two-thirds of its activity from sales, as it enters Digital Songs at No. 7 with 100,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music. It also debuts at No. 1 on Billboard + Twitter Top Twitter Tracks and blasts 9-1 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. The single introduces Zedd's forthcoming second full-length album.

"Know" arrives as Zedd's fourth top 20 Hot 100 hit in as many tries: the DJ (born Anton Zaslavski), 25, reached No. 8 with "Clarity" (featuring Foxes) in 2013. In 2014, "Stay the Night" (featuring Hayley Williams) rose to No. 18 and Ariana Grande's "Break Free," on which Zedd is featured, roared to No. 4.

"The first time I heard 'I Want You to Know' I felt strongly that it was going to be another 'Clarity' or 'Break Free,' like … instantly," says WBBM Chicago assistant PD/music director Erik Bradley. "It feels like another career-defining hit for Zedd."

Nick Jonas, "Chains"
Jonas scores a second top 40 Hot 100 hit from his self-titled album, following the No. 7-peaking "Jealous" (now at No. 20), as "Chains" rises 42-34. It enters Radio Songs at No. 46, up by 20 percent to 29 million in audience.

Empire Cast, "You're So Beautiful," featuring Jussie Smollett & Yazz
New at No. 71, the Fox TV troupe tallies its highest-charting hit and best sales week, as the track starts with 55,000 sold. It enters Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at No. 23, also a new high for the cast.

Taylor Swift, "Wonderland"
Now available on iTunes, Taylor Swift's "You Are in Love," which bows at No. 83, is the second bonus track from the deluxe version of 1989 (previously available exclusively at Target) to hit the Hot 100. "Wonderland" entered at No. 51 last week; "New Romantics" should arrive next week.

As "Love" launches, with 49,000 sold, Swift passes Elton John for a solo share of the 10th-most Hot 100 hits: 68. Among women, she trails only Aretha Franklin (73). Here's, again this week, an updated look at the acts with the most Hot 100 entries:

207, Glee cast
125, Lil Wayne
108, Elvis Presley (whose career predated the Hot 100 by more than two years)
91, James Brown
85, Drake
83, Jay Z
74, Ray Charles
73, Aretha Franklin
71, The Beatles
68, Taylor Swift

Tori Kelly, "Nobody Love"
The Scooter Braun-managed singer/songwriter makes her Hot 100 debut, with the song (No. 89) sporting a fairly even mix of airplay, sales and streaming. It's up 30-25 on the Pop Songs airplay chart.
